Set in 1959 Ballarat, Australia, it is the story of Lucien Blake who returns to his hometown after thirty years to take over his deceased father’s medical practice. He is also the Police Surgeon who performs autopsies and he also solves mysteries!
Lucien was a prisoner of war when the British pulled out of Singapore and his wife and daughter are missing, presumed dead. He has been searching for them for seventeen years. Lucien is flawed, charismatic, troubled and brilliant. The cast is wonderful and Craig McLachlan’s tour de force portrayal of Lucien Blake is a revelation. This award winning, well written and acted period drama is not to be missed!
